Yale Global Alumni Leadership Forum
November 18-21, 2015
New Haven, Connecticut, USA
YaleGALE hosted a Forum on Alumni Leadership in New Haven, Connecticut, USA on the campus of Yale University. Representatives from universities and educational institutions from around the world attended. They shared best practices in alumni relations and development. They also learned how to identify, cultivate, and engage alumni as volunteers and leaders working for, and on behalf of, the university.
The Forum included presentations, panels, and discussions specifically designed for alumni relations professionals and volunteers. Attendees also participated in the Association of Yale Alumni (AYA) Annual Assembly – the flagship program of alumni relations at Yale University. Networking opportunities were provided at luncheons, receptions, dinners, and tailgating at an American football game.
At AYA Assembly, 500 Yale alumni volunteer leaders from around the world gathered to learn from each other, from AYA professional staff, and from Yale University administrators. They represented regional alumni associations, Yale College, graduate and professional schools and shared interest groups. They also used this occasion to celebrate the University and to honor their own.
