Lecture at Penn State

CharlesDecember 2015: Charles Dumas ’79 JD, Professor Emeritus at Penn State gave a lecture at their Africana Research Center in State College. The lecture on Dec. 3, titled “From Brown to Obama:  A Personal Perspective”, focused on the events in the Civil Rights Movement, from Charles’ days as a SNCC organizer in Missisippi, to his discussions at Assembly with current student protestors at Yale.

Charles arranged for the lecture to be open to Yale Club members and several attended, including President Mike Kline ’71. Afterwards, the Yale Club members joined Charles for lunch at the Nittany Lion Inn.
