500 Men Reading

March 23, 2017: 500 Men Reading is a service program in the Harrisburg School District in which men read to youth and young adults at elementary, middle and high schools, and also speak about their careers and the importance of literacy in the workplace. The honorary chair this year was Ron Claiborne ’74, an award-winning ABC broadcaster.

Mike Kline ‘71, Yale Club President, participated at the Marshall School on March 7, by reading to three classes – and then talking about his work and the importance of reading to him. “500 Men Reading was a great experience,” reports Mike, “I look forward to doing it again next year.”
